Live it up

Hey guys,

been quite a while since i blogged, and coming to think of it, I don't really know why! :)

You know, it really is a short life, a blessed short and lovely life. To some of us it's nothing but routine, dull and pointless (specially if you keep planning and it doesn't work out the way it really should) and to many its a boon, a blessing, another chance to prove something or to someone. To so many it's another day that they feel God let them live and see the sun rise again.

Life is a struggle, a challenge, a chance, a test and a conquest and maybe a million other meanings to so many others. The point being? The point being "Live it Up"!

Have you ever thought of how you plan life so perfectly and forget in that effort how to REALLY live it? You plan a perfect date for the next day and for some reason it JUST doesn't go right?

You pray for someone to be safe and happy, but life just has other plans for them? You plan on doing that simple college project but a silly misunderstanding with your group effects the entire result? You know you love your family and know nothing will ever go wrong but something so untoward happens that it devastated your entire life? You are at the peak of your job and know you're just going to get that promotion but for some reason it all goes wrong!

Life is all about 'Dealing with the unexpected'. You believe and live with your ideas so long that if any changes come by, we fail to accept it and sob for them to happen for so long, the time lost is yours. The amount of stress we deal with at all phases of life, from being a student in school, to a student in college or at a job, with rivals, stress over a stranger staring too much, or stress over even stressing is just a big overload!

The very simple and neat purpose of life is to Live it as it comes and take a lesson. Move on, life or time doesn't wait, it keeps moving, you will see the next day, you will meet new people thats how it's supposed to be. The main FUNDA of today is, live life with all joy you can. Tomorrow is going to be too late to think of how I spent my yesterday. Make the most of it. Cheers! <3

Inception Movie Review and Thoughts!

Thoughts:

Well well well! Inception, I must say, it's one of the most smartly made movies in recent times. The real question is "Is Inception too smart for its audiences?".

There seemed to be a growing consensus that Christopher Nolan’s film, which is about a team of criminals whose specialty is accessing the information people store inside their subconscious via their dreams, was too smart for audiences and that its marketing team was having a hard time selling it to middle America. It's a highly intelligent movie and one of the best science fiction films Warner Bros. has involved with, but too smart?

I feel it was a nice experiment and a lesson Hollywood could take, you know? A lesson that risking big money on big, original ideas can pay off in huge ways. Another big point to be grasped in is that, not every movie under the sun needs to be a 3D! Hello?? Movies with a good story, excellent timing, originality, awesome acting skills (most definately wow!), direction and patience pays off PEOPLE! It was riveting, if not always comprehensible.

Review:

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Dom Cobb, a professional thief who specializes in swiping not cars or diamonds or paintings but intellectual property. What sets Dom apart from the typical chinese hacker, and what makes his services so appealing to his powerful corporate clients, is his expertise in “extraction,” a process whereby he utilizes a cutting-edge process known as “shared dreaming” to enter the mind of the mark while he or she is sleeping and steals information directly from their subconscious. However, the technology is never really explained, only referred to as an innovation of the US military.

Weary of his fugitive lifestyle and longing to be reunited with his two young children he agrees to take up a very dangerous assignment. The danger of the job lies where Instead of extracting an idea from Fischer’s brain, Dom will need to implant one. Inception’s waking life/dreaming life timing is a complicated one, and provided with all sorts of implications. To make it all work, dreamers are given a cocktail of sedatives to maximize REM sleep; So it's like when they die in a dream, they awake in real life; if they don’t die, they can be awake when kicked which ranges in intensity from a classical music melody to a punch in the face. Each dreamer carries a “totem,” a sort of personalized sum device to help them distinguish between reality and dream in times of doubt; and so on. Confusing? Why not!

One thing really, the explosions and gun battles and zero-gravity fist-fights are all amazing. I don't really know whether it was too smart a movie or not but i can definately speak up for myself and thats "Inception was an amazing movie for a change!" given all the twists and confusion.

Sums up to this, too smart? Neh! Nice? Definately! To everyone his own people! :)

Branding and its impact! ah!

have you guys come across this:

"Once there was a very brand conscious woman who was crossing a thick jungle and walking by the river. Suddenly she saw a Panther out of nowhere, and started yelling "Help! PUMA! PUMA! PUMA! help!" hahaha! Well this sure served the advertisement and branding purpose.



Jokes apart, look around you. The world is flooded with brands. And in this age or era Brand is what speaks, society is what rules, and people are the fools. On a lighter note just think about how brand speaks and not a person.



I'm pretty sure that most of you are brand conscious or maybe not. Well i am! :P ..... I mean lets take the celebs as an example. When was the last time some celeb walked in with an attire that's a local tailor made, and just count the number of brands these celebrities including film stars, cricketers, fooltballers, Soap actors, comedians, businessmen or even singers keep endorsing.

On an honest note guys, how many of you are brand addicts? i know i am! well, sure i am! I love being all preppy and :P ........ Give in your opinions! :P ............

I was wondering and was sort of you know, confused, so to start of with, let me share a little bit of what gets me thinking the most.
1) Does it occur to you, ever, who are you and where do belong? I mean yeah it may sound strange to a few but honestly, after having evaluated yourself everyday, having lived for countless emotions and having all the life you could live, where do YOU belong? Gets me! :) .. Sure, you have a family, friends, lovers, spouse or even imaginations to keep you occupied. I'm intrigued when i think of how i lived all these years. You are not yourself completely with anyone, you have a hidden character or a disguised half of you which you never show to people who matter. It's only but human!

2) Well it may sound bizarre or really acceptable to you, in any case I'd love to tell you something i love!
"The Twilight Saga" by Stephenie Meyer. Yes! Like the other millions and zillions of people around the world (and who knows maybe outer space) i am obsessed with Twilight and the series. People who are anti-Twilight ermm, sorry! You are missing out on so much of fun!
